About the Manga

The Yu-Gi-Oh! idea didn't start with the TV show.  The idea started by a Manga (Japanese for comic).  It is written and illustated in Japanese by Kazuki Takahashi and translated by [not available at the time].  The comic is published monthly in the Shonen Jump magazine.  In Japan, the comic may appear in the Japanese weekly edition of Shonen Jump, the Weekly Jump.  In addition, as far as I know, Yu-Gi-Oh! is also available in a comic of its own.

For the purposes of this website, I will focus on the English edition of Shonen Jump, as it is the only one I can access (and am currently subscribed to).  I willl try to post  manga summaries as often as possible, as soon as I receive the magazine in the mail.

How to Read

This seems like it would be very obvious, at least for those who got past 1st grade.  It's not that easy however, because in Japan, they read Right to left.  That does not mean theat you have to read backwards, it just means you must retrain your eyes.  Look at the table below for an example.  This also applies to the dialogue boxes, too.
